A bit predictable
A delightful new film from one of my favorite childhood shows, Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl successfully lived up to the high pedestal I've had the series placed upon since I was a child. However, this time around, I was able to spot moments of adult humor delicately sprinkled throughout the family-friendly hijinks, and recognized the film as a not-so-subtle scolding of today's reliance on technology. Clearly, trusting technology to interpret commands using its own digital judgement is a bad idea (as I personally believe we'll soon see for ourselves with the rise of artificial intelligence). However, the film's cheery storytelling overrode any sort of frumpiness risked by such a message, conclusively leading to no detraction from the film as a whole. Overall, Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl is a success: the weaving in of this modern parable into the storyline was artfully done, and the presentation of the film itself is expertly crafted and creative, rendering the latest addition to the Wallace & Gromit series a warm feature that stands up to its classic successors.
